In short
A family-friendly Halloween archery game. A bow sits at the bottom of a moonlit graveyard; animal ghosts peek from behind tombs or fly across the sky, and you have under a minute to reach each level's score target. Drag from the bow toward a ghost and release to shoot.
What we checked on the web version
- No account needed. Set a hunter name in Settings for the online leaderboard; sound effects, music and eight interface languages are there too.
- Controls: press on the bow, drag toward your target and release. The arrow flies the way you drag, not backwards like a slingshot.
- Nine ghosts, from the Snail (10 points) to the Octopus (100). Six hide behind tombs; the Bat, Raven and Owl fly.
- Misses flash Faster! and speed the ghosts up. Ghosts can throw bones at the bow; a hit costs one of your five hearts.
- Gift boxes add points and an instant upgrade: we got Rapid fire, Speed, Triple shot, and fire and ice arrows.
- The Haunted Path has twelve levels. Our first three: Quiet Graves (330 points), First Flight (700) and Windy Hollow (900, with wind), each about 55 seconds long.
- After you pass the target, a short "Keep hunting" bonus countdown lets you add more points.
Our full session, including the aiming mistake that cost us a whole run, is in Ghost Hunter beginner tips: aiming the bow, gift boxes and clearing the first three levels.
